Mary and Orlando- Engagement Session, Delray Beach, FL
DISCLAIMER: I have known Mary since middle school, can you believe that? Mary is the sweetest, most compassionate person. She is an amazing mother and will be an amazing wife to her fiance, Orlando.
The love these two share can be felt by looking at their photos. She is so peaceful and calm when they are together. Its truly beautiful to be able to witness a love like theirs. So, to say I was honored when they asked me to capture their love with my lens, is an understatement! I was able to photograph them when I first started photography. Their photos were taken on my farm in Boynton Beach, and for my skill level then, they turned out great. But fast forward to current, they scheduled another session with me to update their photos, and man, did they turn out incredible.
We started out at the Boynton Beach Inlet. I actually had a maternity session right before them that I had to cancel because of the weather, but I was determined to capture these two, that day, to document their love story again! So they met me at the inlet and at first we were going to wait out the rain. I looked at the radar and saw that it was literally only raining in Boynton and said we can go north or south. Mary and I decided we weren't big fans of Lake Worth Beach so we headed south to the north end of Delray Beach - where the sailboats are. We were like literal storm chasers, only doing the opposite- chasing the sun, lol. When we arrived to our little spot it was still drizzling but I knew we would be fine. Once we got started it completely stopped raining- like Mother Nature knew we were on a mission! We had the most beautiful cloudy sky. Looking south it was brighter and then looking north is was dark. It really offered a variation of scenery depending which direction I was photographing them at.
The session turned out to be one for the books. The wind was magical and blew her dress. There was literally no one on the beach- because who would be with hurricane force winds?!? The sky was magical and their love is evident. We had an amazing time and I am glad we didn't reschedule. I'm a firm believer in everything happening for a reason. Just take a look for yourself. The photos are stunning
