Photo Shoot Locations in Palm Beach, FL

Photo Session Locations in Palm Beach County

Lots of people ask for a list of location suggestions when booking their engagement, family, or maternity photos. My first question to them when asking for suggestions is “what is your vision for this session?” If your looking for Rustic golden hour photos I’m going to suggest something different than if you’re looking for an elegant background. We need to establish your vision or the vibe you’re looking to achieve with these photos. If you haven’t thought about it, I highly suggest going on Pinterest and creating a vison board. These photos are quite possible going to be on the walls of your home, they need to be everything YOU have dreamed of!

Colt Farms- Boynton Beach, FL

Colt Farms is my personal farm in Boynton Beach (hence the photography name “Colt Farms”).It is 10 acres of semi vacant land with Cattle. There you will find my buddy Sven, a highland cow, a couple heifers and other cattle roaming the property. They will allow you to pet them and snap some photos and we can do a portion of your session with them. Please keep in mind they are 1000lb animals and they think they are the size of Chihuahuas, so we must keep our children close by if we are doing sessions with the cows. Please feel free to bring them cut up apples, they love them! Another beautiful thing about Colt Farms is the our “back yard” is Arthur Marshall Wildlife Refuge. Arthur Marshall is a wildlife preserve that is 145,188 acres, or 226 square miles. We have lots of wildlife that often visits our property and the sunsets on the dirt road are one of a kind. If you’re going to book a session on the farm, the ideal time during daylight savings is 6:45-7:00pm and the rest of the year is around 5:30pm. Please keep in mind the farm is location in “rural” Boynton Beach on a dirt road. But if you’re looking for a rustic vibe with a golden sunset, the farm is your place!

Delray Oaks Nature Preserve- Delray Beach, FL

Delray Oaks is another “rustic” location. However, it is totally different from the farm. At Delray Oaks you will find 25 acres of live oak trees and sabal palms, with an understory of wild coffee, beauty berry, and saw palmetto. The tree canopy often makes me feel like I’m in a fairy tale. There are many trails to go off on to take photos. At the end of the oak canopy there is a wooden look out which is a popular site for photos. Any type of session would be absolutely stunning in this location. From milestones, maternity, family sessions, engagements or even senior photos, this is a beautiful option to capture magical moments under the oaks and in the ferns.

Boynton Beach Inlet- Boynton Beach, FL

The beach is a popular photo destination, especially for people who aren’t from Florida! This particular location has the ocean side for pictures and the intra-coastal side as well. The parking lot is huge so it is an easy beach to come to. On the ocean side you will find large black rocks that make for a beautiful photo prop. On the intra-coastal side it’s a little calmer and you will be able to capture the sunset in the background. There are also rocks on the intra-coastal side. Both options are absolutely beautiful and make for beautiful photos. Parking is free here!

Delray Beach Municipal- Delray Beach, FL

Another beautiful beach location is Delray Beach, North End. I typically stay toward the north end to avoid the traffic from Atlantic Avenue. Here you will find another one of Florida’s beautiful beaches. What makes this a popular location are the sailboats that are lined up along the beach. They make for beautiful props but be careful not to touch them, they do belong to people! Parking here is not free and it is along A1A. It is close to Downtown Delray Beach so it’s a perfect spot for an engagement session. You can head downtown for celebratory dinner and drinks!

Worth Ave Clock Tower- Palm Beach, FL

If you’re looking for that “iconic” clock tower shot, Worth Ave is the spot! I enjoy photographing at Worth Avenue because there are so many different options for scenery. We can start on the beach, go to the clock tower and work our way down the ave to capture the beautiful European architecture, gorgeous landscapes, and flowers. There are a lot of IG famous photos locations on Palm Beach Island specifically down worth ave and the surrounding streets. I highly recommend a sunrise session for this particular location. And if you’re planning on wearing heels or uncomfortable shoes, bring a spare to walk in. We will be doing lots of walking!

Bradley Park- West Palm Beach, FL

Another pretty location is Bradley Park in West Palm. This park is along the intra-coastal and features a beautiful European style fountain in the center of the park. This location is the perfect spot to set up a little family picnic session, or have a beautiful couple’s session. It offers an array of different scenery from a sunset along the intra-coastal, to a picnic under the tree. This is a beautiful option for photo sessions! Parking can be tricky here, so please plan to arrive early. You might have to park across the street in the shopping plaza and walk over.

DuBois Park- Jupiter, FL

This is one of my FAVORITE locations for photos. The opportunities are endless here. Dubois Park is the location where you will find the cutest little pioneer home. The Pioneer home makes for beautiful photos alone, but surrounding the pioneer home is the prettiest greenery full of ferns and snake plants (which happen to be my favorite), and a huge tree where the sun pokes through and makes the most beautiful sun flares. If that’s not peeking your interest, perhaps the Jupiter Lighthouse will! Directly across from Dubois Park you will see the famous Jupiter Lighthouse. So not only do you get the waterway off the rocks, you capture the Jupiter lighthouse in your background. Want beach photos without going to the beach? Dubois Park also has beaches to make you feel like you’re along the ocean. So like I said, the opportunities here are endless. This location is perfect for ANY type of session. I do not recommend coming on a holiday weekend and it is a prime location for celebrations too!

The Comfort of your OWN Home

Don’t want to leave the comfort of your own home for photos? Home sessions are an option. Typically, in home sessions are for newborn photos, but who’s to say they can’t be for a family lifestyle session or a couple’s lifestyle session. What way to better capture your lives and document that moment in time, than a session in your own home? Let me come to you! Let your kids play with their toys or pets. Let them feel safe and comfortable in their home. Couples can capture a steamy session in the kitchen. You can bake cookies or play outside. In-home sessions are fun and capture the true essence of that particular season of life. Please note: if you’re planning an in-home session, I do recommend tidying up the areas we will be photographing in.
